What We Believe

Welcome to the Church of Covenant Blessings!

We pray that you will be blessed by the content on our website.  In our times people desire to group churches by denomination, but we are not a denominational church.  We are a Christian church that believes that Jesus is the only way unto salvation and that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life, and we believe that all we shall ever need in this life can be found in and through the Lord Jesus.

The church that was started by Jesus and built by the apostles has changed greatly over the years, and the Sabbath day and the annual holy days that were observed by Jesus, the apostles, and the New Testament church have all been removed from the doctrinal beliefs of most Christian churches.

What we believe...

We look to Jesus, for he is the truth and the way, so we look to the foundation of the early church that began on the Day of Pentecost, as described in the Book of Acts, Chapter 2.  The church built by the Lord Jesus is the church that we desire to be.  We observe the seventh day Sabbath and the annual holy days that Jesus and his apostles all observed.

We believe that If you love Jesus you are to keep his commandments, as he instructed in Matthew 19:17, John 14:15 and John 15:10.  We believe in the words of Jesus when he said that his law would not pass away until all things be fulfilled, as found in Matthew 5:17-19.  We do not believe in salvation by works, but we do believe that if we love the Lord we are to obey his commandments.

We also believe in water baptism to receive the holy spirit of the Lord God, and we believe as the New Testament church that the gifts of the holy spirit still exist and should still be present in his church.  We hold to the concept that what matters most to Jesus, matters most, so we seek to live a life that will be pleasing in the eyes of the Lord.
