“Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever.”

-Hebrews 13:8

The Almighty God

We believe that the Lord God is the Great I AM, that he is eternal with no beginning and no end.  He is all-powerful and is the supreme creator of all life and the sustainer of all life.  We believe that the Lord God is a God of great love and mercy and that he has a plan of salvation available unto all mankind through Jesus his Son.  We believe that God is love, and that he changes not, and we believe that in love we shall come to see God as he is.  I John  4:16 , “And we have known and believed the love that God has toward us.  God is love; and he that dwells in love dwells in God, and God in him.”  God is above all things and before all things, and he is worthy of our love, our praise, and our worship.

Jesus Our Messiah

We believe that Jesus is the only Son of the Lord God, that Jesus is the one who created the heavens and the earth, and that he is the creator of mankind and the Messiah of all mankind.  We do not believe that Jesus has always existed, but that he was taken from the very essence of God and given life as his only begotten Son. Jesus is ancient in days, but he has not always existed.  Only the Almighty God, the Great I AM, has always existed.  We believe that Jesus is the Word who divested himself of his everlasting life, his power, and his majesty to live as a man so that he might be the Lamb of God and die for the sins of all mankind and become the perfect Savior of all mankind.  We believe that Jesus is our Messiah, and our High Priest, and that he shall return unto this earth to establish his everlasting Kingdom and that he will rule forever as our Mighty King.

The Holy Spirit

We believe that the holy spirit is not a person or the third member of what is known as the trinity.  We believe that the holy spirit is the very essence, light, and power of the Almighty God and the Lord Jesus, and that the gift of the holy spirit is available unto all mankind upon repentance of sins, baptism, and the laying on of hands.  The receiving of the holy spirit of the Lord God establishes a covenant relationship between God and the one who has received his spirit, and the believer then becomes an heir unto the spiritual inheritance of the Lord.  The holy spirit is the essence and the power of the Lord God, which causes the recipient to become a partaker of his power and imparts the ability for each individual to live according to the will of the Lord.  The power of the indwelling spirit of God leads us and gives us the power to obey his law and his will.

The Bible

We believe that the whole Bible is the divinely inspired Word of God and that both the Old and New Testaments form the foundation of Christianity as taught by Jesus and as practiced by the early Christian church.  The Bible, as written, is to be our final authority to guide us in our faith and in our lives.  The Bible is the foundation of knowledge given unto man and provides us with the understanding of salvation through Jesus our Messiah and reveals unto mankind how to live a life pleasing unto the Lord, both in the letter and in the spirit of the law. We believe that true Christianity is based upon the entire Word of God, and that it is to apply to the individual Christian and to the Church as the body of Jesus.

“If you LOVE me, keep my commandments”

-John 14:15-

The Weekly Sabbath, Annual Feasts & Holy Days

We believe that the seventh day of the week is the Sabbath, which is known as Saturday in our day, and that the Sabbath is to be taught and observed in accordance with the fourth commandment and other biblical instruction.  In the beginning the Sabbath was created by God, and he blessed and sanctified the seventh day at creation to be a holy day of rest and fellowship with him.  During his time on earth, Jesus reaffirmed the sanctity of the Sabbath and taught its observance, and the apostles of Jesus and the early New Testament church observed the Sabbath and taught new converts to observe it.  The Bible reveals that there are seven annual feasts and holy days, which were ordained by God to be observed as commanded convocations.  These annual holy days were ordained by God, and they were observed by the nation of Israel, Jesus, the apostles, and the New Testament church. These feasts and holy days reveal God’s plan of salvation for mankind, and the observance of these holy days is a sign between God and his people.  The scriptures also reveal that these holy days will be observed by all mankind after the return of Jesus.

Gifts of the Holy Spirit

We believe that the gifts of the holy spirit that were evident in the New Testament church were not just limited to that time and are available unto believers in our day. The Bible lists nine gifts, and they are gifts given by God to further his work. We believe that a great revival, a great harvest of mercy shall be accomplished in the last days before the return of Jesus as our Messiah, High Priest, and King and that there will be a pouring out of these gifts in the days ahead. This is prophesied in Joel 2:28-29, “And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh, and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions, and also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit.” The gifts of the holy spirit spoken of in 1 Corinthians 12:4-11 are: the gift of wisdom, the gift of knowledge, the gift of faith, the gifts of healing, the gift of miracles, the gift of prophecy, the gift of discerning spirits, the gift of tongues, and the gift of interpreting tongues. These gifts are for ministry and shall be poured out in the latter days and all are given by the Lord and all are to be used to glorify the Lord.

Repentance and Baptism

Repentance is the act of acknowledging one’s sins, which are the transgressions of the law and commandments of God. Repentance is the first step toward reconciliation with God and Jesus, and thereby toward the salvation that is found in the redemption and reconciliation that is available through the name and blood of Jesus our Messiah.  Repentance is to bring forth remorse that will lead us to seek forgiveness and pardon for our sins, and true repentance will also lead us to seek lasting change so that we will turn from our sins and seek to live a righteous and godly life before the Lord.  We believe that baptism is to be through the complete immersion in water for the forgiveness of sins upon true repentance and acceptance of the sacrifice of Jesus.  Water baptism symbolizes the death and burial of each repentant believer, and through this baptismal death the believer becomes a new person in Jesus and becomes an heir unto the spiritual inheritance of the Lord.  After the immersion of baptism, we believe in the laying on of hands to receive the holy spirit from the Lord.  The believer is then led by the holy spirit to walk in loving obedience unto the Lord.
