Wars and Rumors or Wars

Neil Gardner

At the end of December, almost immediately after the expiration of a six month cease fire with Israel, Hamas (the militant Islamic movement that controls the Gaza strip), indiscriminately fired Qassam rockets into Israel resulting in a state of terror for  the Israeli civilian areas where the rockets exploded.  A week after these rocket attacks continued, Israel launched an air campaign against Hamas command and control areas of Gaza, to date killing more than 425 and injuring 2000 according to reports.  Hamas militants often take refuge in mosques in the area.  Israel has destroyed five mosques in efforts to achieve their military goals.  There have been calls from the international community for Israel to cease fire.  These calls have been largely ignored at the time of this writing, and Israeli ground forces mass on the Gaza border. During research for this report, the anti-Israeli bias (anti-Semitism) in the media world wide has been clearly seen.  Very little focus has been placed on the fact that Hamas started this “round” of conflict by attacking Israel during a time of peace in an unprovoked fashion.  Also not considered is the fact that Hamas refuses to declare war on Israel and attack its military, instead choosing to reign down terror on civilian centers.  Also, during this time, Hamas is reported to be executing in the streets without trial, all Palestinians who they believe collaborate with Israel.  We need not look far into European history to see events such as street executions.  Many have called Israel’s response disproportionate.  However, what would the American response be to a Mexico that continuously reigned down rocket fire on Corpus Christi, Texas?  I think America would certainly be interested in ending Mexico’s ability to achieve that goal once and for all.

This being said, ETU believes prophecy is unfolding before our eyes.  We know it will be the Antichrist who will bring a veiled “peace” to the Arab-Israeli conflict.  As prophesized in Daniel 9:27: “And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.”  As many students of prophecy understand, this one “week” spoken of by Daniel is one seven year period; a day for a year.  This will be the last seven years of man’s rule upon this earth.  The midst (or middle) of the week reference refers to what is known as the abomination of desolation.  This occurs three and a half years into this seven year covenant period, or in the “middle” of the week.  The abomination of desolation is when the Antichrist stands in the soon-to-be-built third temple in Jerusalem and claims himself God.  When he does so, he gives orders for the daily sacrifice of animals by the Levitical Priesthood to be discontinued at the temple mount.  After all, he is now there as “god,” and animal sacrifices are no longer needed.  Also, as a dual application, the spiritual daily sacrifice will be ordered to cease.  All who follow the commands of Christ, and the examples of King David and the prophet Daniel, who pray on bended knee three times a day, give praise seven times a day to God and Jesus, and read Their word twice a day will be ordered to cease also.

There were twelve daily animal sacrifices according to old covenant commands, and there are twelve daily spiritual sacrifices, as described above, for those seeking the obedience of love and the love of obedience of our Father and Savior.  However, the animal sacrifices at the third temple will be much easier for the Antichrist to stop than the spiritual daily sacrifices of those who follow the Lamb perform.  Those are often done behind closed doors.  But with Gestapo like efficiency, the Antichrist will be diligent in his attempts to root out those who continue to serve the Lord despite his orders.

Our Savior tells us in the 59th Parable: Salvation is Nigh: “The people of Israel will be encompassed about, but my hand will move, for the time is not yet for them to fall.  Peace will come unto them.  Look for the discovery of the Ark of the Covenant, and the building of the final temple. Look for the rise of evil to repeat within the nations of Europe as racial war and strife leads to marshal law and control.  Religious war will ensue as the Christians and Muslims begin to stand up for their teachings and doctrine.  In these days, the evil ones will appear as saviors of light.  Do not let the false peace deceive you, for the powers of darkness desire the domination of all peoples, and the end of my people, nationally and religiously.

How do you keep from being deceived  by the Antichrist into believing he is truly Christ? The answer lies in the words of our Savior in Matthew 24:27:  For as the lightning came out of the east, and shines even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. Matthew 24:30-31: And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. Matthew 24:33: So likewise you, when you shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.

As we see, the arrival of Jesus to collect His elected ones from around the world is clearly seen in the heavens by all the peoples of the earth.  Our Savior does not appear as a man on earth in some “secret” fashion as the Antichrist will appear to do.  All Christians who endeavor to follow Christ must remember He will be seen coming in the clouds at the last trump (I Corinthians 15:52) after the tribulation of those days.

When will the week spoken of by Daniel the prophet begin?  Sooner than most choose to believe.  We will know for certain when the revived Levitical Priesthood begins the daily animal sacrifices at or near the temple mount, as this will be news worthy world wide.  The third temple does not have to be completed in order for the sacrifices to begin.  Look for the Ark of the Covenant to be discovered as the Lord advises above.

The American way of life will not continue much longer.  The time is now to repent of our sins and put our spiritual houses in order.  Even if we consider ourselves Christians, it is time to take an honest, hard look at our lives and see where darkness is present.  We must examine ourselves daily and reflect upon our thoughts, words, and actions. After doing so, could we then present ourselves before the Lord believing ourselves pure?  Think about it: What do we watch on TV; what music do we listen to; is our daily conversation and conduct pure and holy before the Lord?  Is prayer, praise, and thanksgiving a part of our daily lives, or is it something seen at most a couple of hours a week?  This is why the daily sacrifice is so important.  Daily prayer, praise, and washing in Their word.  We must learn to trust in the Lord and not in things our hands and great intellects have accomplished.  Darkness will soon spread across this once great land and it is only by the power of the Name and Blood of Jesus Christ that we will find strength and peace.
