A Spirit Filled Life

David Nix

"I am the Lord God Almighty and I bless you with words that are to be placed within the Words of the Latter Rain for all the words given for this issue are of me for I have a great desire for my people to see and to hear. So much has been given but the old ways still remain and the newness of a spirit filled life still eludes many. Knowledge is good, and I have increased your knowledge in the ways of heavenly light, but knowledge and power are greater than knowledge alone. In the knowledge I have bestowed there is great power but the power within my words and the words of my beloved Son require application and the application most needed is surrender and absolute obedience. Wisdom is the application of knowledge with understanding so you must apply what you understand and what you know to be true. My people rejoice each time truth is increased, and hearts are enlightened, but to have knowledge without application is a path that goes in a circle, you are moving but you are not moving forward. You must apply truth, and in the application of truth you will grow in wisdom and you will grow in the power of heavenly light.

This day I bless you with words of wisdom that you need to apply. I shall give you guidance on how to live a spirit filled life for without the power of my spirit and the spirit of my Son leading you and helping you there is power but it is a diminished power. You have my light, my breath, and my spirit within you and that gives you power, but all men have my breath, light and spirit so what is within is not enough to walk in the spiritual realm. You need the power of my holy spirit to give strength unto your spirit, light and breath. All men and women are of my breath, my light and my spirit but only those who repent and enter into a covenant relationship with me and my Son receive my holy spirit and retain the spirit of my Son. It is the spirit of Jesus that opens hearts and minds to truth, and he leads men and women unto me but to receive my holy spirit and to retain his spirit you must be baptized and have hands laid upon you to receive my spirit. If men and women do not heed his call and if they do not enter into a covenant with me and my Son they will not retain his spirit and he will remove his spirit. My holy spirit comes after repentance and baptism and my spirit joins with his spirit and your spirit, but if men and women do not enter that covenant my spirit will not come and the spirit of my Son shall no longer lead and guide.

To have a life that is spirit filled you must receive my spirit and then you must give me and my Son dominion so that our spirit will lead and guide you. Some receive my spirit but they never allow my spirit to fill them, and my spirit is a consuming fire and if you do not allow my fire to grow within, you will not be filled and you will never know the power and the joy of living a spirit filled life. I dwell within you and my Son dwells within you and we desire to fill you and to give you the power of light but you must subdue your flesh and remove all that is of the physical that blocks and prevents our fullness. It is my desire that my servant place Romans 6:11-13 within my words.

Romans 6:11-13, "Likewise reckon you also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.  (12)  Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in the lusts thereof.  (13) Neither yield you your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.”

You are to be dead to sin but alive unto me by the power of my Son. Sin is to have no power over you for you must be dead to sin and alive unto me and this will not come without complete surrender for my spirit must have dominion.   Baptism represents newness for in baptism the old man or woman is buried and when you rise up from the water you are clean and I send my spirit to join with my Son’s spirit and with your spirit to give you the power to walk in the spirit. Why do you allow that which is dead to have power over you? I know the truth and you also know the truth, your old man did not truly die and the old paths remain due to patterns established and memories held. You must break old patterns and by the power of light you must overcome the power of memories that turn you back unto an old path. The first principle that I desire to give you is found in verses 13 and 14.

1. You must yield your flesh unto me and never yield your body to that which is not of my desire. To yield is to surrender but surrender alone will not give you the power to live a spirit filled life. You must yield and you must give me and my Son dominion. The word, "yield” as translated in this verse means, "to place beside, to bring near, or to set at hand.”  You are not to bring evil near unto you for if you place darkness nigh it is more difficult to resist the temptation of evil. You are to yield yourself to me and my Son. Bring me near and be nigh unto me. This is done by allowing my spirit to fill you, and this is done by the power of dominion. Sin is to have no dominion over you, but it shall always have power if you do not yield unto me and give me dominion. You will fail and stay in the pattern of sin if you keep evil at hand and try to also keep me nigh. This is walking in the shadows and I will not fill you if you walk the shadows near light. Yield yourself to me, present yourself and stay nigh unto me. Let your members be as weapons of war and do not place evil nigh unto you. Your surrender must be complete for surrender without giving dominion will not give you the power to abide and to make lasting change. Nations defeated in battle may surrender but it is rare for a defeated people to give dominion unto another. Dominion is rule, and is the power to govern and to control. Have you truly given me power to govern and control every aspect of your life? Surrender without dominion will lead to rebellion if the dominion is forced. A conquered people will accept the rule of a conquering power only as long as the conquering power can retain the strength to subdue but if the conquering power weakens the people will rebel. In my words there is power to see the second principle.

2. The second principle is found in Romans 6:18, "Being then made free from sin, you became the servants of righteousness.” You are free from sin if you have crucified your flesh, which is complete surrender, for in death there is no power to bring evil nigh. You must be as one dead and be without sin but you must also be alive unto righteousness. Dead men are free from sin but there is no power and no praise in the grave so in your resurrected newness you must walk in righteousness. From the waters of baptism you rise up unto newness but in your newness you must give me dominion. Being made free from sin you must become a slave of righteousness. The word servant means slave. You are first set free and then you become a slave. A free man who gives himself willingly unto slavery is one who does so by surrender. I do not make you captive for I am not your conqueror. I seek your surrender and your submission. Die to sin and then of your own will yield yourself as a servant of righteousness. Do you not see how surrender alone will not free you? You must die to sin and then you must yield to me and also give me dominion which is the power to govern and control your life. My dominion is not forced upon you for you must surrender unto my power and give me control of your life. Dead to sin yet alive unto me by the power of my Son and the power of dominion. A spirit filled life comes unto those who yield themselves to me and   those who allow me to govern and control their lives.

3. The third principle for a spirit filled life that I desire you to understand is found in James 4:7-10, "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.  (8)  Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double minded.  (9)  Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness. (10) Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.”    If you truly give me dominion I will rule and I will govern which means that I will provide and I will protect. Why do you seek to fight your enemy alone? Look to the wisdom of verse 7. It does not instruct you to resist and then submit. Men and women fail and then they do not feel worthy so they seek to overcome first and then to draw nigh. Some try to live a life of purity and righteousness first and then seek baptism. Yield first, give me dominion first, and then I shall help you to win victory. Yield yourself to me, do not yield your flesh to sin and the evil ones will flee. Come near to me and I will come near to you. I will fill you if you will seek me by the power of surrender. Humble yourself, give me dominion and you shall be filled. A spirit filled life requires the fullness of my spirit so remove the barriers by drawing nigh to me. Most seek to remove all barriers and then draw nigh but this is not using my power. If you give me lordship I will be your Lord. Surrender all unto me and unto my beloved Son, and we will govern, and we will protect and we will deliver you unto salvation. Live a spirit filled life by the power of surrender, dominion and obedience.”
