Renewing Prayer

David Nix

Tuesday, 6/10/2014

\"I am the Lord Jesus, your Messiah and gentle shepherd and I bless you with words that are to be placed within the Words of the Latter Rain. My words this day are about the power of prayer, for prayer remains the greatest tool, and the greatest weapon, the greatest shield and the greatest power available unto man. My people have been given many words about the power of prayer, but over time the discipline of prayer can weaken and become as a sword that is not sharpened and not used as often as needed. It is easy to fall into patterns of prayer, but prayer should not be a ritual for prayer is the power of light, and prayer must be renewed day to day, for each day is new, and each day is different, and each day brings new blessings and new opportunities and new challenges. Life is ever changing so your prayer life should be as your life and should be fresh and new as each new day. It is good to be established in a routine of prayer but do not allow your prayers to become old and stagnant, they must be new each day and they must be as a mighty river, ever moving and ever growing in the power of heavenly light. Prayer is to renew your light, your hope and your love for prayer is the power of light, and light renews and light refreshes. This day I shall give you verses and also principles to help you to renew the power of your prayers, for prayer is your greatest power but it is a power that requires renewal if you have allowed your sword of prayer to become dull. My people know that we hear your every prayer, and my people know that prayer is great power, but my people also know that your prayers lack consistent power. Each day brings newness, and a life rooted in prayer will be a life that is built upon a sure foundation, but each day is not the same, so your prayers must meet the needs and demands of each new day. Let my words this day help you to renew the power of prayer in your life for in the days ahead prayer will be most needed as a sword and a shield. It is my desire that my servant place 1 Corinthians 12:11-14 within my words for in these verses I give unto you the first principle that I desire for you to understand. Renewing prayer is more than seeking your needs for prayer is a sword and a shield.
1 Corinthians 12:11-14, \"But all these work that one and the self-same Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will. (12) For as the body is one, and has many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ. (13) For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. (14) For the body is not one member, but many.”
1. The first principle is found in verse 11. The spirit of my Father is the spirit of power and my spirit within you is power. The spirit of light within you works. It is not dormant but is very much alive within you for we are not dead, we live and we live in you. We are light, breath and spirit and we live in you, and you are begotten of the spirit and our spirit within you is great power. The same spirit that was within my apostles is within you so you have the same spirit and the same power, so you must let our spirit work within you. Prayer is power but prayer needs to flow from the spirit within, and your words must be given power by the spirit within. The gifts are divided but all have the same spirit of power. Feel the spirit within and let our spirit lead you and guide you in your prayers. To renew the power of prayer you need to renew the power of the spirit, and you must know that you are called and chosen and that you have our same power. The power is within but you must believe and have faith.
2. The second principle is found in verses 12-14. You are of one body for you are of me and my Father. The power of intercessory prayer is found in understanding the oneness of the body and the oneness of man. Prayers of intercession are spoken most often, for each has needs and each is aware of the needs of others. If you believe in prayer then you believe in the power of intercession, for most words brought before me and my Father in prayer are words making intercession on behalf of others and on behalf of self. You are to cry out for your needs and your wants and for the needs and wants of others, but to be renewed in your prayer you need to understand the oneness of the body and the oneness of man. The body has many members but the body is one. You are baptized by the same spirit and my spirit also dwells within all who believe, so you are one with each other by the holiness of my Father, by his spirit and my spirit. All men are also joined for only man is of the light, breath and spirit of me and my Father. You are men and women so you all have the same origin for all were created in our image and our likeness. You are joined by light, breath, and spirit with all mankind and you are joined with all believers who have received the spirit of my Father by the presence and power of the self-same spirit that lives within you.
To renew the power of intercessory prayer you must renew the connection that binds you to me and my Father, for when you are firmly connected to us you will be more firmly connected to the body of believers and to the body of mankind. You see David that prayers of communion and time spent in communion with me and my Father will build the connec-tion of light, breath, and spirit so that you will grow in oneness with the body of believers and with all mankind. The same breath, light, and spirit join you to all mankind but when the spirit of my Father and my spirit live within you there is great power given unto the light, breath, and spirit of man so your prayers will be renewed for light and love will be increased. Prayers for family, brethren and the world should all be rooted in love, and we are love, and when our love lives within you, your prayers of communion and your prayers of intercession will be renewed with the power of light. To renew the power of your prayers see the oneness with me and my Father, with the body and with all mankind. Grow in love and your prayers will be renewed.
The third principle gives power to the first two for light always gives power to light. There are many aspects to renewing the power of prayer but this day I give but three with the hope that my people will apply my words for in the application and understanding of these three things your prayers will grow in power for light always gives power to light. It is my de-sire that my servant place 1 John 5:13-15 within my words for in these verses the third principle is revealed.
1 John 5:13-15, \"These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may believe on the name of the Son of God. (14) And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he hears us. (15) And if we know that he hear us, what-soever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.”
3. You must believe in my name, my goodness and my power but this is not the third principle, it gives power to the third principle which is found in verses 14 and 15. You must believe in my name, my goodness and my power but you must know with unwavering faith and confidence that we hear you and that we will give you the petitions that you bring before us. You must know that renewed prayer brings renewed power. Renewing prayer will bring confidence and faith for you will grow in the power of heavenly light and our light, spirit, and breath will be increased within you. To ask in accordance with my will you must be nigh and you stay nigh by the power of obedience and the power of prayer. Seek to renew your prayers by belief and application.
The power of prayer is great pow-er but over time prayers can become stagnant or made up of too much ritual, so it is good to evaluate your prayers and your heart to see if renewal is needed. Use the power of the holy spirit of my Father, understand the oneness of the body and the oneness of man and know that renewed prayer shall bring forth renewed power.”
